But what probably makes my teacher recommend me is that I do unwritten speeches. I hate to memorize and that is why I make speeches on the spot, which is good when you are doing this to fellow students. The teachers decided to train me, instead of me training by myself so that's a huge bonus (starts tomorrow). Aki-chan, what are your guidelines in writing good essay? My classmate (a close friend) is also in an essay writing contest. The time limit would be an hour. Any tips? I think it's a standard 500-word essay contests, which is actually a minimum of 160 words (since most judge are lazy to read long paragraphs and set of words anyway, so they won't mind) Quote & reply Post reply Do you find this valuable?

My essay is finished and almost 900 words, but I fell short by 15." Thanks! I'm done with the speech yesterday and grabbed first place! Yay! It was quite, an enjoyable yet nerve-wracking experience. I have to experience intense chest burns and very painful chest before I managed to calm myself down and surprisingly, got the judge to smile and nod repeatedly as I got into my main body.
