Hahaha. Yup yup. Imagine, a mere soldier, a prisoner, suddenly leading the country on world wars... That would surely be a good example.Hahahaha... Do you find this valuable? |

Demosthenes is a great example for you to use in that essay Janny. After all, Demosthenes had a speech defect and when he made his first public address the people were booing him, so he went onto the shore and put pebbles in his mouth and began to exercise his voice above the tumult of the waves. The end result being that he became one of the greatest orators in history. It shows that even though he had a speech defect, he still tried his hardest and in the end became a great orator like he wanted to be. Do you find this valuable? |

Wahh... that man arista has mentioned is kind of familiar. Though I definitely read a passage about that story "the one about putting pebbles in his mouth". It is one of the most popular to come out in our reading comprehension tests (way back in my elementary years)Though we haven't really discussed about him. Most teachers are lazy and skipped discussions, preferring tests over interaction. Grr. But as a side note, I do agree with arista. Anyway, Aki, how goes the essay writing? You were lucky your teachers are satisfied with the 800-word essay thing. Most of my "older" teachers prefer 2000 words or more. I would have expected that they don't read it, I do know that they count the words and grade the papers base on the word count. I hate those teachers.... ugh.. (I know at least three teachers, mostly 50+ of age. Hahaha) Do you find this valuable? |

I forgot) Interests: Biology, Yaoi, Shonen-ai, Literature Gender: Male -Just an average senior high school boy going through the tides of life's tribulations...- And Arista, I'm glad that's your first impression of me... :3 Anyway Aki-chan, should you need help, you can always ask them here.... Hey Aki-chan, you might want to recheck our old "fansite" I fixed things up a bit there as I was annoyed with wetpaint's censoring some Japanese words. (I looked into the lyrics section and some like "******" got ***** just because it was interpreted as "****")Anway, I changed a few things in acatsbloomingrose.blogspot.com. Check it out a bit. You might like it. If not, then I'll start working on the new site you put up.... Do you find this valuable? |

Wow. The only thing that turned me away from essays is that high school teachers, unlike my elementary, would often require a "draft" and a "final" version. I always do write the final version, skipping the draft.I just write whatever that I think of with no need to worry about grammar and construction (they are there in my mind all the time). But they wouldn't understand. Thus writing an essay, and rewriting it again is kind of boring... Well, with a hundred words or more, one could get bored writing same ideas and construction twice... At least, that's what I think... Do you find this valuable? |

I see your point there but I'm use to it. Besides, I basically write all day because I have nothing better to do, so on my part writing is my specialty. Hey they should make that a job!

Wow. I really do envy that. My hands and fingers would start to hurt after writing more than 4 pages...There are jobs relating to essay writing. Journalism for one... Online blogging, if done right, can earn you money through ad placement, visitor donation or perhaps writing a blog and selling it. If you count storywriting as essay writing, you can write novel, children's books and all. Though I really can't think of a job that pays good... Hmmm... Do you find this valuable? |

I hate writing stories though. I prefer poetry since my mind is always producing poems. like my philosophical poem that is soon to be written based on the line from MacBeth "Fair is foul and foul is fair".
