Author's Note: This is like my favorite pairing, but the idea is a little slow forthcoming *if you know what I mean* I had started this knowing what I wanted, just not how to get their soo now I'm a little stuck! Y_Y


Chapter 1: I Know You

Naruto stared at the dark ceiling, trying hard not to confuse himself more then what he already was. He had been having the same type of dreams since the began to learn the Rasengan from Jiraiya.

He wasn't frightened of this man. It sound strange, but Naruto knew he wouldn't hurt him. If anything, he felt save with this man. But he strangest thing about these dreams is that he was sure he'd seen this man before. As though it was yesterday.

Becoming frustrated with himself and his inability to remember, Naruto gave a sigh before rolling over and falling back to sleep. Dreaming once again of the mysterious man with red eyes and a safe protective embrace.

Itachi didn't normally sleep much. When one was a missing nin and had a their face plastered in the national Bingo Book, they tend to be on guard most of the time.

Tonight; however, was a different matter. Ever since he saw him in the hotel, Naru-kun would not leave his mind. Not that he usually didn't think of him, but this was the first time in six years since he'd seen him. Not since that night.

Itachi closed his black eyes, trying to block those thoughts before losing control and finding the nearest bandit to kill. Taking a deep breath, which for him was only noticeable intake, Itachi instead, began to think back three days ago.

Naruto seemed no different and yet completely changed. When Kisame pulled his sword, Naruto stood his ground. Even without his chakra, he refused to give in. Naruto also seemed to have effected Sasuke with his personality as well.

Itachi thought back with a twitch of a smile on his lips as he remembered how Sasuke no longer ran away, even when he knew the possibility of dieing was high. Though he would never admit it to anyone but Naru-kun, Itachi was very proud of his little brother.

Itachi opened his eyes one last time, checking to make sure nothing and no one was in a mile of him and his partner, before finally settling into a light sleep, dreaming of ocean blue eyes and a big smile.
