Hello, everyone... Whew, it's been a long time since I set foot upon this homepage... (my internet connection and laptop just got fixed last week. Even, now I am not yet done with the updates and other compatibility issues that came with my new installation- the original cd got damaged and I have to rely on a torrented windows xp which lacks the necessary drivers that came preinstalled with my original german copy...)
But, since our internet won't be going anywhere soon, and my laptop has a new hard disk plus some upgrades, I'm sure I CAN last for a while. Maybe work on the fanfictions too. But I'll probably focus on the homepage first... Well, to sum it up, I'm back in action in this site... (just realized that the homepage is outdated, horrid and unappealing. My perfection side got wakened up and prompted me to get back to this site.) I'll be sure to get back everyday. Oh and for status update, how has been the site? I am not able to follow all the changes (one week without internet and a few month of addicted status to Tears to Tiara made me forget my priorities...) |

Alright, after my extemporaneous speech competition, my coach was so happy that I grabbed first place, he had this idea of entering me to a National Essay Writing contest. The easy thing about this is that, I can write the article at home and simply mail it to their admission's office.
They require me to write about this theme: "Interfaith initiatives: What it means to me and my country". Looking at the theme, my first thought was to grab hold of any Christian books and other related materials and simply write an informative essay. However, I was steered towards a "persuasive" type in which I decided to put my own stand which is "Erasing differences through erasing religion". However, I'm not that secure with the idea so I may need to reestablish a new theme to revolve my writing on. I would like some suggestions? Tips? Here's what I thought of so far: 1. Discuss the effects of faith and how it brought forward humanity's civilization. 2. Persuade the reader in reconsidering his position in his "faith". Now here's a quick question: 1. Judging from the theme, should I focus in religion (though this is a sensitive issue, I may be able to gather the courage to get into it) or should I just focus in faith as in trust? Well, I think that's it. Any suggestion is welcome. |
